Our story

Built in a kitchen
for a dog named Cooper.

Sarah Whitmore spent ten years as a veterinary technician before she brought home Cooper, a scruffy rescue mix who refused to eat almost everything on the pet-store shelf. What started as weekend recipes at her kitchen counter turned into Truelane — a small, family-run brand making the food and supplies Sarah wished existed for her own pet.

Every recipe is vet-formulated. Every product is tested by Cooper first. And every box that leaves our warehouse is packed by the same eight people who built the company.

Vet-formulated

Every food recipe is designed with a small team of veterinary nutritionists.

Small on purpose

We stay small so we can answer every email and know every recipe by heart.

1% for shelters

One percent of every order goes to rescue organizations across California.

Meet Cooper

Chief taste tester.

Cooper came home from the shelter in the summer of 2019, ten pounds underweight and skeptical of everything in a bowl. Six years later, he's the reason every new recipe gets tested in our kitchen before it ever ships. If Cooper won't eat it, you won't see it.
